October 2008-- Birthday trip to Lincoln City for the kite
festival We had no idea what a kite festival really meant. Were we in for a fun surprise! These kites dance choreographed to music!   The same person was flying all three kites. We never figured out how he maneuvered the one attached to his waist!   Six synchronized kites (sort of like synchronized swimming only in the air)  Here are the guys flying the synchronized kites:  Side trip. The bridges along the coast are awesome.   Of course Thibodeaux came too. Surfer guy!!!! (Actually, he hates the water. A true beach bum.)  We fell in love with these wind art pieces. Thought they'd look great at Long Shadows. Only problem was the price tag had too many zeroes.  |
